Frank Argelander ~ would appear in 1979 as a special guest on the "Good Morning LA Show" hosted by Regis Philbin. Argelander would slice watermelons off the stomachs of two students; actor David Hess and Gary Temple while lying between chairs. Regis Philbin the third victim, stood standing while pressing the watermelon against his stomach. Argelander would then put on a black blind fold and proceeded to slice with a Samurai Sword, the three watermelons one by one off the stomachs of each individual. Argelander was one of only several at the time that performed this demonstration live, and to-date the only one to slice a watermelon off a notable person like Regis Philbin "Live on TV".

Frank Argelanders humble apology to the art of ~ KARATE ~
Frank Argelander ~ Like many others would use the name "Karate", because of it's general universal acceptance to represent all martial arts during the time period of 1970's and earlier. Ed Parker would originally name his new art "Kenpo Karate", for the same reason.

Karate - is a great and historical martial art system, with many great practitioners, and its "NAME" should be only used by those martial artist who follow it's traditons and discipline as set forth by it's founders.
